About Tim Milliken aka; Theophrastus Cincinatus & Leona Hunt
Background
- Primarily located in the San Francisco Bay Area, but with frequent travel throughout the state of California, I identity as a generational Californian with an inspired interest in photography, art, architecture, nature, and travel. I have been pursuing my passion as an professional photographer and artist for over 30 years. My studies in photography have taken me from Diablo Valley College to Cal Poly Humboldt, and as member and volunteer at East Bay Photo Collective (EBPCO ).
Approach
- My art and photographic interests are unique, as I like to envision the natural world in contrast to the built environment. Much like the principles behind Hunt Design Studio , I utilize a variety of media and equipment to capture representations of reality, including film cameras (Yashika-Mat medium format camera, iPhone, Minox 110 film spy camera, pin-hole camera obscura, Nikon Super 8 movie camera, Kodak Brownie 16mm movie camera, Sony Digital Hi8 video, drone photography, and a collection of digital still cameras).
- I am well-equipped to undertake a range of freelance work in landscape architecture, photography for interpretation of nature, human and pet portraits, and drone-based aerial photography for natural land conservation and real estate.
- My unique perspective allows me to find and adjust focus on the subject, which reflects the essence of Hunt Design Studio.
- The breadth of my personal experience and interests opens my lens to accommodate a point of view that is both interesting and provocative.
