Primarily located in the San Francisco Bay Area, I am a 4th generation Oaklander. I have an innate inspired interest in photography, art, architecture, nature, and travel. Click here for my full bio (who I am, where I come from, my experience, and what makes me unique). I have been an amateur photographer and artist for over 30 years. I studied photography at Diablo Valley College, Cal Poly Humboldt, and am a resident photographer at East Bay Photo Collective.
My art and photography interests are unique, as I like to envision the natural world in contrast to the built environment. I use all media and equipment to capture representations of reality; Yashika Mat medium format camera, iPhone 15Pro, Minox 110 film spy camera, Pin-hole camera obscurha, Nikon Super 8 movie camera, Kodak Brownie 16mm movie camera, Sony Digital Hi8 video, Drone photography, and a variety of digital still cameras from my collection. I am equipped to do a range of free-lance work including architectural, nature, portraits, and drone based aerial photography for natural land conservation and real estate. I have a unique perspective for finding and adjusting the focus on the subject. The breadth of my personal experience and interests opens my lens to accommodate a point of view that is both interesting and provocative.
When you call me, I will quietly listen to your story, requests, and ideas. I will respect you, not interrupt, and give affirmation that I am engaged in our conversation.
Let me be the one you go to; for might it be a family portrait, scanning film negative, taking art photos, architectural and landscape photography, rendering and drafting site plans, helping with plant selection, and hopefully soon, drone photography. I have an hourly rate of $60/hr and set rates for some services, but I will always spend more hours on a project than I will bill you for.
